Confessions of a Science Illiterate

I am pursuaded that there are two classes of people. Those who study and try to grasp the foundations of science and those who are oblivious to science. I am the latter desparately trying to break into the former. Currently, I am working through "Biology" by Neil A Campbell and Jane B Reece. This is a college freshman level intro to one of those foundations referred to above. So far it has been an interesting ride. For example, to me it seems that life cares only about one thing: replicating code. And I'm learning that at the molecular level structure is everything. My hope is to finish this book and then quickly work through it again. This blog will be a journal of my encounters within this rabbit hole.
